The circular ceiling with its blaze of colour is the crown of the interior. The center forms the structure that is viewed on the exterior, the tent-shaped spire (which represents the crown of thorns of Jesus). This symbolism gives meaning and substance to the design and is just as impressive as the Gothic and classical/Byzantine churches with spires that reach for the sky in an effort to reach the heavens. Even the colours of the stained glass windows are representational. Truly an awesome sight, as the architect certainly meant it to be.
